Amsterdam was a really big turn around from Paris. Three classmates and I took a three and a half hour train ride from Bonn Hbf to Amsterdam Central Station. After getting to the city, we got two day passes for Amsterdam's transportation system, which by the way, was super easy to use. After heading to our lively hostel Via Amsterdam, we walked around sight seeing, eating stoop waffles and occasionally popping into coffee shops. On the second day, we took a Canal tour and had some beers at the Heineken Experience. Later at night, we walked around the Red Light District in De Wallen and experienced the night life in Amsterdam. Although Amsterdam is a very touristy city, I saw a lot of people enjoying their day sitting near the water, or having dinner near the canals.
